It seems like every time I look, there is a new company that Microsoft has acquired (more recently Ally.io and Clipchamp) to step into another area that they didn't have a solution to before.

Many of us already use Microsoft software (Windows, Teams, Office, Outlook, etc.) and Microsoft hardware (I'm writing this article on my MS Surface laptop), and now Microsoft is further expanding into many other areas to expand further into the tech ecosystem.

Watching the Ignite conference, the feeling that I got is that Microsoft is trying to persuade us that we can run our entire personal lives as well as All the process of our businesses within their Azure cloud. Comments and feedback are still always welcomed 😊. You may or may not agree with my opinions and that's ok. Instead, below is my opinionated summary of the conference along with a bunch of color commentary FWIW. You will find that in the Ignite Book of News and from many other bloggers and writers in the Microsoft ecosystem. If you're looking for just a summary of MS Ignite, this is not it. This way it's good for my audience who wants to hear the straightforward truth as I see it and it's good for Microsoft in terms of the feedback they get from folks like me as to what they are doing right and where they can improve. What that effectively means is that I can speak my mind without having to be constrained to "Microsoft speak". I have never been employed by Microsoft, but I have been a Microsoft MVP for 15 years straight now. That means using the prebuilt cloud components such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Dynamics and more as well as building your own digital solutions using their Power Platform. Microsoft wants you to really & truly embrace their cloud. The undertone of the Microsoft Ignite conference that took place in November 2021 was very much central to the Microsoft Cloud.
